Who is Statewide Home Remodeling?

We are a Central Florida remodeling company working out of an office on South Kirkman Road in Orlando. Rois Narvaez started remodeling homes here in 1985 and registered the company as Statewide Home Remodeling in 2012. He still runs the jobs himself.

Forty years in one market changes how a company works. We have pulled apart houses in Dr. Phillips, Colonialtown and Conway, and we have done unit turns in apartment buildings and buildouts for hotels along the Disney corridor. Kitchens and bathrooms are most of the calendar. The rest is whole home renovations, additions, commercial work and insurance claim jobs across Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties.

One person coordinates the demo crew, the plumber, the electrician, the tile setter and the inspector, then walks the punch list with you at the end. You get that person's number, not a dispatcher. Our team is bilingual, which matters more than it sounds on a site running several trades at once. We answer 9am to 7pm, seven days a week.

What can you actually do on the new site?

Look at real finished jobs and real price ranges before you ever pick up the phone. That was the whole point of the rebuild.

The remodeling portfolio filters by the kind of work you have in mind, so you are not scrolling past commercial buildouts when you want to see a bathroom. A Windermere kitchen with new oak floors carried through the adjoining rooms. A Lake Nona primary bath where the original tub and surround came out for a tiled walk-in shower with a glass enclosure. A 1950s Cape Canaveral house taken back to studs over about three months, with the garage turned into a rentable apartment. A 20x20 addition in Sanford where we moved the old kitchen to the back of the house to open up the dining room.

Every service now has its own page with scope, timelines and what changes in an older house. There are city pages too, because remodeling in Orlando does not run the same way as a job in Windermere behind an architectural review committee, or one in Ocoee that permits through the city rather than the county. And the estimate form is on every page, so you never have to hunt for it.

What should you ask before hiring a remodeling contractor in Orlando?

Ask who pulls the permit, and which office it goes to. The answer tells you more about a contractor than anything else you can ask in ten seconds.

Around here that question has a lot of wrong answers. A property inside city limits files with the City of Orlando. An unincorporated Orange County property goes through OC FastTrack, a different office with its own fees and its own review queue. Ocoee runs its own building division. So does Oviedo. Heathrow carries a Lake Mary mailing address and permits through Seminole County. The parcel decides, not the envelope, and filing with the wrong office can cost a couple of weeks before demo starts. We check the parcel record first, every time, and file the paperwork ourselves.

The second question worth asking: what happens when demo turns something up. It will. Pull the drywall in a 1970s ranch and you may find cloth wrapped wiring, or a drain line the original plumber ran straight through a bearing wall. Galvanized supply lines corrode from the inside and quietly lose pressure for years before anyone notices. We call you before we act on any of it, with a number attached, and anything we cannot confirm until the walls are open is written into the estimate as a conditional item up front.

What does a kitchen or bathroom remodel cost around Orlando?

Less than most homeowners expect at the low end, and you get the number before we start. A standard bathroom renovation starts around $6,999. A 10x10 kitchen remodel starts around $7,900.

Where a project lands above that comes down to scope, not square footage. Our bathroom remodeling covers a cosmetic guest bath refresh, meaning a new vanity, fixtures, tile and paint, at roughly $8,000 to $15,000, and the full gut version with a walk-in shower and a freestanding tub at $15,000 to $35,000. A mid range full kitchen remodel runs $25,000 to $55,000.

Moving a wall or relocating a drain line is what separates a nine thousand dollar bathroom from a twenty five thousand dollar one, which is why we walk the property before we quote instead of pricing off photographs. The written estimate splits labor, materials and permit fees on separate lines. You can see where the money goes and argue with any of it.
